This series was created for a 2D Design class, focusing on personal symbolism. The assignment challenged me to create five pieces that represented something meaningful to me. I chose to base each piece on people I care about and things that bring me happiness—capturing moments, emotions, and connections through visual metaphor and thoughtful composition.
This project helped me explore how design can be deeply personal while still communicating universally relatable themes like love, joy, and identity.
Tools Used: Clip Studio Paint Pro
Dimensions: 9" x 12"

Poster 1 : Family Love
This poster symbolizes my family and me, with each flower representing one of us, based on our birth months. The clouds are shaped into a heart, and the infinity symbol connects them, showing that our love is everlasting, no matter where life takes us.

Poster 2 : Friendship and Trust
In this piece, the two flowers represent my two best friends, with a key placed between them to symbolize how they unlocked my ability to trust and communicate openly. The chocolates add a sweet touch, symbolizing their kindness and the joy they bring into my life.

Poster 3: Creativity at Night
This poster reflects how many of my ideas come to life during the late hours. I’m a night owl, and the flowers here represent the creative ideas that blossom in my mind when the world is quiet. The night-time setting reinforces that quiet, contemplative space where inspiration strikes.

Poster 4: The Power of Music
The purple flower in this poster represents me. I used musical notes, each connected to songs and artists I love, with little characters (representing the band members) running along the staffs. The empty staffs represent the music I have yet to discover, symbolizing the future possibilities and how music continuously shapes my world.

Poster 5 : Trust and Growth
In this piece, the purple flower symbolizes me, with butterflies representing my best friends who help me grow and open up. The glass vase is cracked, symbolizing how, over time, my trust in them has deepened, and how they’ve helped me break free from my fears and insecurities.
