Inspired by Article 16 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which affirms that all individuals, regardless of race, nationality, or religion, have the right to marry and form a family, I created this metaphorical poster to celebrate the diverse forms of love.
The heart-shaped target symbolizes the idea that no matter the size or shape of your heart, everyone has the capacity to find love or to give love. The arrow, with its colorful flaps, represents the many differences in relationships—whether it's gender, race, sexuality, culture, or more. These differences make love unique but do not diminish its power or importance.
I’ve received varied interpretations of this poster, and that’s something I value. If you see it differently than I intended, that’s perfectly fine. I enjoy hearing different perspectives on the meaning behind the design.
